Designer Gabrielle Spencer is inspired by the texture, balance and colour of fibres found in nature. Her new label, Gabrielle Spencer Bridal, casts aside traditional ball gowns for pieces that are modern and refreshingly elegant. Gabrielle also makes her own jewellery and explores with millinery. She is influenced by the bridal fashion of the 1920s to 1950s, designing around shades of ecru, cream, near-white and ivory. Gabrielle uses luxurious fabrics, including pure silks, cashmere and French laces sourced from fine suppliers around the world. She caters for brides of all shapes, sizes and ages. Gabrielle graduated from The Academy of Design in Queensland (2009). This is the label’s inaugural appearance at FASHFEST.
Gabrielle is collaborating with Christine Waring Milliner to make all headpieces for this year’s show.
Gabrielle Spencer Bridal will be showcasing on opening night show 2, at 9:00pm.
