Perpetually Five once again returns to FASHFEST, but this time in collaboration with local label Clare.
Drawing from the roots of these two Canberra labels, designers Mitch Thompson and Clare Read will bring to the runway a sophisticated yet conceptual showcase of fashion that expresses their individual personalities. This new collaboration will push boundaries with a spectacular collection named ‘The Haunted Mask’, which is inspired by children’s nightmares.
Perpetually Five seeks to redefine menswear by harnessing the power of childhood memories to create clothes that are smart and fun, conceptual, casual and chic. Clare focuses on her surrealist and innovative style when designing for her consumer. She expresses this through the use of non-conventional materials and strong conceptual ideas.
Perpetually Five + Clare design for the reclusive outcast—male and females aged 18 to 35 who are silent, mysterious trendsetters.
Each one-off piece is designed and made locally in Canberra.
Mitch completed his Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design), from the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) in 2012. Clare studied fashion design at CIT from 2009 to 2012.
